In this series, we will explore a prayer that is two thousand years old, yet just as relevant as the day it was first written. It's a cry to God that outlines three simple movements in the kind of prayers that make a difference -- above, within, and beyond. First, we humble ourselves before God, worship Him, and recognize that He is ABOVE all of our anxiety, fear, sin, hopes, and dreams. Then, we recognize that everything God wants to do through us starts WITHIN us. Finally, we take the limits off and look BEYOND ourselves in prayer, imagining how God might receive greater glory through our faith. During a time when so many people are trying to improve their lives, what if we focused on God and let Him grow our prayers?

There’s one short, simple word God has given us to anchor our faith this year. It’s also a word we believe can be given back to Him as an act of worship: “Yes!”

To say “Yes” to God is to choose God: not just what you hope to get from Him, but only God Himself. When we have an open, surrendered heart, we are free to let God choose and direct His will, confident that if we had His knowledge and perspective, His decision would also be our desire. It all starts with one prayer, “Yes, God!”
